Job summary

Penn E&R is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer based in Pittsburgh, PA, with hybrid flexibility. You will work on site plans, hydrology calculations, erosion controls, and stormwater management across multiple market sectors, both in the office and in the field.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, are pursuing or have an EIT, and have up to 3 years of civil experience. AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience is a plus, and the team emphasizes safety and growth within a

• Engineer In Training license.
• 0 to 3 years of civil engineering experience.
• EIT a plus.
• Hydrology and hydraulics, erosion and sediment controls, stormwater management controls, AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans.
• Perform hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations.
• Design erosion and sediment controls and stormwater management facilities.
• Conduct post-construction stormwater management BMP design.
• Perform infiltration testing and drafting with AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Entry-Level).

While you will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office, we offer hybrid flexibility.

You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R's market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans.
• Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations.
• Erosion and sediment control design.
• Stormwater management calculations.
• Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design.
• Infiltration Testing.
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following: Creating 3-D surfaces Grading plans Profiles/cross-sections Pipe networks and corridors Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Engineer In Training license.
• 0 to 3 years of civil engineering experience.
• EIT a plus.
• Schooling and/or work experience in the following is a plus: Hydrology and hydraulics Erosion and sediment controls Stormwater management controls AutoCAD Civil 3D.
