Job summary

Penn E&R, Inc. in Doylestown, PA is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer to join a full-time, hybrid team.

You will work on site plans, hydrology, sediment control, and stormwater management across market sectors, blending office and field assignments. This role requires a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, an Engineer in Training license (professional license preferred), and 5–10 years' civil engineering experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Engineer In Training (EIT) license held or in progress.
• Professional license preferred (5–10 years civil engineering experience).
• Experience in hydrology, erosion and sediment controls, and stormwater management is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, and post-construction stormwater management plans.
• Perform hydrology, hydraulics, drainage calculations, and land development work.
• Design grading plans and prepare profiles, cross-sections, pipe networks, and corridors.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and proposals; develop project management and business development skills.

Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Mid-level). While you will be based out of our Doylestown, PA office, we offer hybrid flexibility. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R’s market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field


• Engineer In Training license


• Professional license is preferred 5 to 10 years of civil engineering experience


• Work experience in the following is required:

Applicable Work Experience for this role includes:

• Provide technical guidance for the preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans


• Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations

• Grading Design


• Post-Construction Stormwater Management SCM design


• AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following:

Detailed Tasks

• Creating 3-D surfaces


• Grading plans


• Profiles/cross-sections


• Pipe networks and corridors


• Working with other Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals


• Opportunities to develop project management and business development skills with a team of other professionals
