Job summary

Stantec’s civil/site development team in Florida is hiring a Civil Engineer EIT for site and community development. The role is based in Jacksonville or Tallahassee with responsibilities including site, grading, drainage, erosion control and utility plans, under senior mentors.

Responsibilities cover design development, client and agency interactions, and coordination of project scope, budget, and schedule, plus preparation of construction docs and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and FE/EIT status or Florida EIT within 6 months.
• 2+ years in civil/site design and land development experience.
• Experience with site grading, drainage, erosion control and utilities.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D and related design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop site plans and grading layouts through sketches and Civil3D models.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and attend project meetings.
• Assist in defining project scope, budget, staffing, and schedule.
• Prepare construction documents and project specifications.
