Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineer (E.I.T) to support the Mid-Atlantic development team in Hanover, MD or Mechanicsburg, PA on land development, power grid resilience, and related projects.

Responsibilities include site layout, grading, erosion and sediment control, post-construction stormwater, and permitting; work with a team to deliver designs compliant with federal, state, and local codes. Engineer in Training preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in erosion and sediment control design and post-construction stormwater design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3-D and Hydroflow.
• Engineer in Training Certificate preferred.
• Understanding of land development processes and zoning ordinance review/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and plans for site layout and grading.
• Design erosion and sediment control and post-construction stormwater systems.
• Prepare NPDES permit applications.
• Submit land development applications per federal, state, and local codes.
• Ensure zoning compliance.
