Job description

We are recruiting for a well-established, multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm with over 40 years of continuous service and a strong backlog of projects in transportation, wastewater, and land development. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and long-standing client relationships in both the public and private sectors.

Position Summary

As a Civil Engineer, you will play an integral role in the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects across multiple disciplines, including transportation/highway engineering, wastewater systems, and land development/civil site work. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams to support all phases of project delivery—from feasibility and design through permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering design and analysis tasks for transportation, wastewater, and civil/land development projects
  • Prepare plans, specifications, and technical reports for roadway design, site grading, stormwater management, wastewater conveyance/treatment, and utility infrastructure
  • Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project requirements and design standards are met
  • Support construction administration including review of submittals, site inspections, and addressing RFI responses
  • Assist with permitting, feasibility studies, and engineering investigations as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, or ability to obtain licensure in New York and other states as needed
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in transportation, wastewater, or civil site/land development engineering
  • Proficiency in civil engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD/Civil 3D, drainage modeling tools, Microsoft Office)
  • Strong understanding of design standards, regulatory requirements, and construction practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
