A nationally recognized, top-ranked engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Site/Civil Project Engineer to join its growing New York team.

This is a leadership-focused opportunity for a licensed PE who wants real ownership of projects, direct client interaction, and a seat at the table in office growth discussions — not just production work.

The Opportunity

You will lead and support land development projects across residential, commercial, institutional, warehouse/distribution, and mixed-use sectors for both public and private clients.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior leadership while guiding technical teams and managing client relationships across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead site/civil design from concept through construction
• Oversee site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and infrastructure design
• Perform and manage stormwater management design and H&H analysis
• Prepare and review SWPPPs and permitting documentation
• Coordinate with geotechnical and environmental teams to deliver integrated solutions
• Support business development efforts, proposals, and client engagement
• Contribute to office growth planning and team utilization strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 10+ years of land development experience in the NY market
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong proficiency in Civil 3D or AutoCAD
• Experience leading projects independently from design through permitting and construction
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proposal writing and client-facing experience preferred
