Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Fort Worth, Texas office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. This role focuses on site development engineering and project management for a variety of land development projects in a non-remote setting.

The candidate will use AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydrology/storm drainage tools, with mentorship and formal training provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with a civil engineering design firm
• ABET-accredited degree in Civil Engineering (BS/MS)
• EIT certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for a variety of projects
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and software applications including hydrology modeling program, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
• Projects will include various land development site designs
• Research, coordination, project management, staff management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and bid packages
• Mentorship and exposure to plan production, project financials, and client interactions
