Job summary

Kimley-Horn's McKinney, Texas office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join our Land Development team. This is not a remote position and you will contribute to site development engineering and project management for a variety of projects.

You will perform site civil design, permitting, and use software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydrology and storm drainage programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters from ABET-accredited university in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training or Engineering Intern certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet client deadlines with urgency and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management for diverse projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use AutoCAD/Civil 3D and related software.
• Engage in research, coordination, cost estimating, and bid package preparation.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in plan production and client interactions.
