Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Civil EIT (Engineer in Training) to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, AK offices. This hands-on engineering design position sits in RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector and will include working on a variety of multidisciplinary design and construction projects across Alaska.

The Civil EIT will design projects for public and private sector clients, grow professionally, and collaborate with a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year.
• Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency.
• Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Preferred

• Experience in construction
• Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus.
• Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site, and roadway improvement projects.

Compensation:

Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
