Job summary

RESPEC in Alaska seeks a Civil EIT to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau offices. This hands-on engineering design role works on a variety of projects in our Transportation Market Sector for public and private clients.

As an EIT, you will gain experience across design and construction, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop skills in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Office software while advancing toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year.
• AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on design for public and private sector projects in Alaska.
• Work in RESPEC's Transportation Market Sector on multidiscipline projects.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines and deliver quality drawings.

RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks a Civil EIT (Engineer in Training) to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, AK office.

The Civil EIT designs various types of projects in our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, Alaska office for public and private sector clients. This is a hands‑on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector and will include working on variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects. Required

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year.
• Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency.
• Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Preferred

• Experience in construction
• Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus.
• Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site, and roadway improvement projects.

Compensation:

Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
