Job summary

RESPEC is seeking a Civil EIT to join our Alaska offices (Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, Juneau). You will work on a range of transportation and civil engineering projects, gaining hands-on experience in design and construction across diverse sites.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering, EIT or ability to obtain within one year, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential, with travel as part of the job."

• Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Civil EIT in the design of transportation and civil projects.
• Prepare design drawings and calculations for utility, site, and road improvements.
• Support project teams across multiple Alaska offices including Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau.

RESPEC, an internationally recognized engineering consulting company, seeks a Civil EIT (Engineer in Training) to join our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, AK office.

The Civil EIT designs various types of projects in our Fairbanks, Anchorage, Palmer, Soldotna, and Juneau, Alaska office for public and private sector clients. This is a hands‑on engineering design position in RESPEC’s Transportation Market Sector and will include working on variety of multidiscipline design and construction projects. Required

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
• Engineer-in-Training or the ability to obtain within one year.
• Autodesk AutoCAD & Civil 3D proficiency.
• Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Teams.
• Self-motivated, energetic, and able to take on new tasks.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail oriented & well organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal & written communication skills.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

Preferred

• Experience in construction
• Knowledge of Civil3D modeling (corridors, grading, pipe models, etc.), quantities, calculations, and cost estimating is a plus.
• Experience in preparing design drawings and design calculations for utility, site, and roadway improvement projects.

Compensation:

Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
