Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Designer or EIT to work independently and as part of a team on diverse civil projects in New Mexico and nearby states. Under a Senior Engineer/PM, you will perform analysis, prepare exhibits and construction documents across commercial, industrial, residential, and municipal sectors.

A Civil Designer or EIT will contribute to design tasks, coordination, and documentation, using CAD tools and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Civil Designer – minimum 5 years’ experience with AutoCAD and development plan design.
• EIT requires Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related degree, Engineer in Training Certification, and CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform civil engineering design including layout/geometry, grading, drainage, paving, water, sewer, and erosion control.
• Prepare submission packages, supporting calculations, quantity and cost estimates, project schedules.
• Assist project manager with consultant and project team coordination.
• Plan activities, including project research and feasibility assessment.
• Utilize CAD for 3D models of civil systems.
• Conduct QA/QC on projects.
• Assist in developing new standards for the civil group.
