Job description

CASCO Civil is looking for a Civil Designer who will be responsible for designing, preparing, and reviewing plans related to civil engineering projects. This includes land development, streets and highways, sanitary and storm sewers, water distribution systems, and site improvements. The Civil Designer must possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software. He or she must have the ability to create drawings, review plans for accuracy, and interpret and implement engineering designs. The Civil Designer must also be able to work closely with other engineering and design staff, as well as contractors and other professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Draft civil engineering designs for roadways, water, sewage lines, drainage, and land grading specifications for commercial and residential building sites using maps and topographical surveys in AutoCAD format.
2. Draft both 2D and 3D designs of utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.
3. Interpret civil engineering drawings to determine where to allocate utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.
4. Read maps and land surveys to note land grading, nearby structures, and other factors that could affect the placement of utilities, roadways, and other infrastructure systems.

Qualifications :

1. Strong oral and written communication skills.
2. Ability to work on multiple projects and effectively balance workload.
3. AutoCAD, Civil 3D experience is required.
4. 2+ years of industry experience is a plus.
