Base pay range

$24.00/hr - $42.00/hr

Tectonic is seeking a full-time Senior Civil Cadd Designer to join our Civil Engineering Department within our Orange County, NY Office!

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position will include developing effective designs to assist in creating development plans for civil engineering (land development, municipal transportation, and utility) designs. Requires working with computer CADD systems for creating, modifying, and releasing land development layouts, technical drawings, and word drawings for functional use in accordance with CADD standards from drawings, sketches, scanned images, and client drawings. Essential functions also include communicating with project managers, engineers, and other CADD staff in order to create and revise drawings in accordance with project specifications, and to periodically review work products in order to ensure accurate and code compliant designs. Essential functions will also include printing, scanning, and duplicating plan documents as needed, as well as all related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience working within a Civil Engineering environment;
• General knowledge of and ability to comprehend State Building Codes and Local Municipal Zoning Ordinances;
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2020 or newer; Civil 3D experience is required; may also require proficiency with other related design software;
• HS Diploma or equivalent; AS degree in architectural design is a plus;
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook;
• Must be detail oriented, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements

While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to assume a stationary position, handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job and communicate about same. The employee will also need to process manual and computer generated documents, and will be required to communicate using the Corporate e-mail and telephone systems. In accordance with the level of visual detail required for this position, close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required for this position. They may be occasionally required to move around on a job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning themselves appropriately to obtain necessary specifications. The employee may be occasionally required to lift and/or move equipment and materials up to 10 lbs. This position may involve occasionally operating a motor-vehicle, which may require assuming a stationary position for extended periods of time.

PAY RANGE

Tectonic’s goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate’s work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.

Pay Range: $24.00 - $42.31 / hour
