Overview:
PTS Advance is seeking a Civil Designer with a strong background in site development to support engineering efforts within our client's power and infrastructure division. This position is ideal for someone skilled in Civil 3D and experienced with grading, corridors, feature lines, storm sewer networks, and storm drainage. The role offers the opportunity to grow within a multidisciplinary team, working on a range of utility-scale and site development projects across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D models and plan sets based on sketches and technical inputs using Civil 3D
• Produce site layouts, corridors, grading, and utility plans (storm sewer networks, drainage systems, etc.)
• Ensure proper file management and reference integration within all drawing sets
• Collaborate with internal teams and communicate design progress and issues to project leads
• Participate in internal design reviews to ensure consistency, safety, and constructability
• Assist with redlines, RFIs, and as-built development using construction markups
• Contribute to the development of standards, checklists, and internal documentation
• Attend project meetings and coordinate tasks with engineers and design staff

Qualifications:

• Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or vocational training in Design, Drafting Technology, or a related field
• 1-2+ years of civil/site design experience preferred
• Proficiency in Civil 3D is required; experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or MicroStation is a plus
• Strong understanding of grading, storm drainage, corridors, and utility layouts
• Familiarity with design documentation processes and CAD standards
• Effective communicator with ability to manage tasks and collaborate across disciplines
• Working knowledge of file systems, spreadsheets, and database tools
