The position supports civil defense matters in insurance defense, general liability, and long-term healthcare cases. The successful candidate will assist attorneys, draft documents, manage calendars, and coordinate with clients and firm personnel.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of prior legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense in a high-volume, fast-paced law firm environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Georgia State filing, including E-Filing experience required; Federal filing a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Drafts and prepares correspondence and other documents as required, including pleadings, motions, and reports.
• Tracks requests for information and manages file organization and disposition.
• Maintains calendar for trial and discovery deadlines; coordinates trial settings.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Handles highly sensitive information and materials related to cases.
