Qualifications

• 2+ years of prior legal assistant experience supporting litigators in civil defense.
• Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced law firm environment.
• Washington State filing, including E-Filing; PACER experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
• Strong communication, organizational skills, critical thinking; team player; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drafts and prepares correspondence and other documents per attorney direction.
• Maintains calendar for trial and discovery deadlines.
• Schedules depositions, hearings, appointments, and other proceedings.
• Ensures organization and maintenance of case files.
• Monitors files and escalates issues requiring attorney involvement; handles sensitive materials.
• Assists attorneys with time entry on billing software.
• Prepares and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or requests for information.
• E-files documents using state and federal court databases.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
