Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent/Field Manager to supervise skilled trades on large heavy highway/roadway/bridge projects in the Toledo/Southeast Michigan region.

You will lead Foremen, coordinate safety, production, and profitability, and report to the Project Manager and Operations Manager. You will develop 90-day and 3-week schedules, manage costs, coordinate manpower, equipment, and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety policies while maintaining project quality and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent technical experience progressing through the ranks as a Journeyman to a Foreman to a Superintendent.
• (6+) years similar construction Field Management experience.
• Roadway/Highway experience is preferred and a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Foremen on conducting work safely, productively, and focusing on quality.
• Set a Safety 24/7 culture for your crews.
• Assists the Project Manager in creating the project schedule.
• Develop 90-day and 3-week schedules for crews.
• Conduct pre-planning and goal setting with crews.
• Oversee costs associated with your work items.
• Coordinate manpower, heavy equipment, tooling and material needs for crews.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors.
