Kokosing, Inc., a nationwide general contractor, is seeking a Project Engineer to lead project engineering activities on a Chesapeake, VA site. You will coordinate engineers and field staff to align with schedule and contract requirements.

The role emphasizes design interpretation, planning, submittals, RFIs, and collaboration with A/E and clients. A Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree plus 2+ years of construction experience, with bridge exposure, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage project engineering personnel and assignments.
• Ensure engineering activities meet requirements and support project schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning and design; interpret design and apply construction methods.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures and submittals, RFIs, expediting deliveries, and owner/payments.
• Represent project/department in A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and support the schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction and design-build services and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
