Job summary

Kokosing seeks a Lead Construction Design Engineer to develop temporary civil and structural designs for bridge and infrastructure projects. This role can be based in our Richmond, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD office, and you will lead a team of design engineers and CAD modelers.

You will coordinate with field personnel, clients, and consultants to deliver safe, economical engineering solutions while ensuring code compliance and timely project execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Current PE license in VA and/or MD.
• Minimum 10 years design experience for bridge/highway projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review temporary construction designs for safety and code compliance.
• Direct design engineers and CAD modelers and mentor staff.
• Coordinate with clients, owners, vendors, and consultants to deliver solutions.
• Develop submittals, estimates, and cost forecasts with estimators.
• Represent Kokosing in project management meetings.
