Job summary

Kokosing, Inc. invites applications for a Project Engineer to lead project engineering personnel and ensure contract compliance while supporting the construction schedule with Primavera P6.

The role emphasizes developing procedures, coordinating with on-site teams, and overseeing pre-construction and design-build activities. Strong communication and leadership are essential, with PE license preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• 2+ years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities (planning, assignments, actions).
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with contract requirements and support the construction schedule (Primavera P6).
• Provide technical support for construction planning, design interpretation, and construction methods; resolve design conflicts.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work-controlling documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, payments to subcontractors/vendors and owner pay requests).
• Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and support project schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction services, design-build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
