AltaMed Health Services Corp is seeking an Associate Director of Civic Engagement to guide and implement our ICEM across clinic sites, coordinating with AVP and department leadership. You will build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, manage grant-funded work and reporting, and develop a civic engagement curriculum for staff orientation and provider training.

The role requires strong public speaking, team leadership, and the ability to work with diverse communities.

Formación

• BA/BS in Public Relations, Communications, Government Affairs, Political Science, Public Health, or related area required.
• A master’s degree or combination of education and experience related to Civic Engagement, Community Outreach, Campaigns, Voter Education, and Planning is highly desired.
• Minimum 8 years of overall experience related to Civic Engagement, Community Outreach, Campaigns, Voter Education, and Planning or related discipline required.
• Civic engagement expertise including census, redistricting, elections, partners, and data/trends.
• Experience with public speaking in various settings and tailoring content to audiences.
• Experience in leading a team, coalition building, and facilitation.
• Experience in research-informed writing and stakeholder communications.
• Experience managing staff and partners in a collaborative environment.
• Bilingual abilities and experience with the Latino community are a plus.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with civic and voter engagement work and campaigns; panel discussions with community organizations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the civic engagement team to implement AltaMed’s ICEM across clinic sites.
• Develop partnerships with internal departments, leaders, and community stakeholders.
• Prepare communications, letters, testimonies, and voter education materials.
• Track budgets for grants and seek funding opportunities for civic engagement.
• Represent AltaMed at stakeholder meetings, coalitions, and public events.
