AltaMed is seeking an Associate Director of Civic Engagement to implement its ICEM across clinic sites and lead the civic engagement team. The role focuses on guiding principles, strategic goals, and partnerships with community stakeholders and funders to expand AltaMed's civic impact.

Responsibilities include developing internal communications, reporting to funders, and representing AltaMed at meetings, conferences, and trainings.

Formación

• BA/BS in Public Relations, Communications, Government Affairs, Political Science, Public Health, or related area required.
• A master's degree or combination of education and experience related to Civic Engagement, Community Outreach, Campaigns, Voter Education, and Planning is highly desired.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Civic Engagement, Community Outreach, Campaigns, Voter Education, and Planning.
• Civic engagement expertise including census, redistricting, elections, partners, models and approaches.
• Experience in public speaking across internal, external audiences; tailoring content to audiences.
• Experience in leading a team, coalition building, and facilitation.
• Experience in research-informed writing incorporating communication.

Responsabilidades

• Implement AltaMed's Civic Engagement model across clinic sites with leadership coordination.
• Lead the civic engagement team to implement strategy effectively and promptly.
• Develop and sustain partnerships with internal departments, community stakeholders, funders, and partners.
• Prepare communications to legislators, public comment letters, testimonies, and voter education materials.
• Track budgets for grants; identify funding opportunities and ensure timely reports to funders.
• Represent AltaMed at stakeholder meetings, coalitions, and public speaking events.
