Job summary

City of Millcreek seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee the City’s procurement program and contracting activities. You will standardize processes, supervise purchase orders and competitive solicitations, and ensure compliance with laws and budgets.

The role requires strong communication, negotiation, and procurement expertise, with experience in public-sector procurement and relevant certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, supply chain management, procurement, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years of professional procurement, contract administration, finance, or related experience.
• Public-sector procurement experience preferred.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.
• Valid Utah Driver’s License required.
• Experience with procurement software and eProcurement platforms.
• Procurement certifications preferred (CPPO, CPPB, CPPs, etc.).
• Familiarity with state eProcurement platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee City procurement program and contracting activities.
• Establish citywide purchasing processes and procedures.
• Manage purchase orders, solicitations, and contract administration.
• Disposal of surplus property and procurement compliance.
• Serve as the primary resource for departments and provide training.
