Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years college credit or an associate's degree, or completion of Parapro Assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with instruction under the direction of a special education teacher.
• Assist teacher in maintaining discipline.
• Assist teacher with instructional activities.
• Escort students between rooms.
• Toileting students is required.
• Involves work with both special education and regular students.
• Assist in implementing IEPs.
• Supervise students during recess and lunch.
• Assist with classroom assignments.
• Copy materials for instructional purposes.
• Prepare paperwork for the teacher.
• Alert teachers to problems observed.
