Responsibilities

• Performs professional accounting duties in preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling complex financial transactions, statements, records and reports.
• Manages new accounting project implementations.
• Accounts for capital asset activity and performs physical audits of assets.
• Completes depreciation, Month End, and closes books in accounting software.
• Prepares Income Statements for General Fund, BAMA and Public Safety and forwards to lenders and stakeholders.
• Assists with year-end closing, audits, accruals and end-of-year journal entries.
• Reviews revenue and receivable transactions and participates in long-term planning and annual city budget.
