• Coordinates with auditors to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Ensures compliance with financial regulations and stays informed about applicable laws.

Responsible for the financial planning and management of the city. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and making recommendations to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the municipality. The role requires a deep understanding of public finance, budgeting, and economic trends.

• Conducts detailed financial analysis and modeling to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Assists in the preparation and administration of the municipal budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
• Prepares comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including the city council and the public.
• Analyzes and forecasts revenue streams, identifying potential areas for revenue enhancement.
• Monitors and controls municipal expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and financial policies.
• Assists in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve financial governance and accountability.
• Coordinates with internal and external auditors to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, staying informed about applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and ensuring that financial operations comply with them.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field supplemented by at least 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related fields, preferably within a municipal or public sector environment. Requires possession of a valid Oklahoma Class D driver’s license. This position requires employee to be bonded.Tasks involve the ability to exert minimal physical effort in sedentary work, typically involving some combination of balancing, feeling, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, walking and which involves some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation. The role may require working additional hours during budget preparation periods or other critical financial cycles.
