Job summary

ADM in Winter Haven, FL is seeking an Associate Scientist to plan, execute, and interpret laboratory and pilot-scale research for product development and process optimization. You will operate distillation equipment, perform liquid-liquid extractions, and guide scale-up from bench to production while analyzing GC-MS and LC-MS data.

You will document results, communicate findings to management, and support the Citrus Natural Products Chemistry Laboratory with rigorous experimentation and data

Qualifications

• B.S. in chemistry or related field is required.
• Knowledge of general chemistry and lab operations is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and execute laboratory experiments aligned with R&D and business objectives.
• Operate distillation equipment including continuous, batch and thin film distillations.
• Conduct liquid-liquid extraction experiments aligned with objectives.
• Provide guidance on scale-up from bench to production scale.
• Generate, analyze, and interpret data using GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, and related instruments.
• Document work and conclusions in notebooks and summaries.
• Communicate results to R&D management and global teams.
