Job description

Laboratory Manager

The Laboratory manager will oversee customer projects and internal initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Responsibilities include managing workflow, monitoring progress, and holding the team accountable for departmental objectives.

Key Activities
  • Lead a team of 3–5 technical R&D staff, overseeing daily activities and ensuring the timely completion of both customer-driven and internal projects.
  • Actively participate in quality control and research & development efforts within the Essential Oils Division, supporting the formulation of customized citrus and spice essential oil blends and specialty products.
  • Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and training to team members to uphold organizational performance and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales—to align processes, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure both short-term deliverables and long-term strategic goals are met.
  • Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance across all laboratory activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support the ongoing growth and success of the division.

  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
