Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a GeoSpatial MAP Analyst to design, optimize, and support secure virtual desktop environments using PowerShell, VMware Horizon and Citrix Cloud for a global enterprise client base.

The role focuses on stable map-oriented application delivery, performance tuning, and incident resolution within a day-shift, on-site model, ensuring consistent user experience across geographies.

Qualifications

• Experience Designing and administering VMware Horizon-based VDI environments in complex, enterprise settings.
• Advanced proficiency with Citrix Cloud, including app delivery, profile management and policy tuning for geospatial workloads.
• Scripting with PowerShell to automate VDI lifecycles, reporting and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable virtual desktop infrastructures for geo-spatial apps, ensuring stable access across units.
• Administer VMware Horizon to optimize session stability and resource use for mapping workloads.
• Configure and manage Citrix Cloud deployments for responsive map processing access while meeting security standards.
• Develop PowerShell automation for provisioning, profile management, capacity checks and maintenance tasks.
• Monitor end-to-end VDI performance, identify degradation and implement fixes to minimize downtime for geospatial teams.
• Coordinate with infra, network and applications teams to troubleshoot incidents in VMware Horizon and Citrix environments, driving RCA and remediation.
• Implement access control, patching and hardening of VDI components hosting spatial data.
• Document architectures, SOPs and runbooks for consistent ops across teams.
• Collaborate with product owners to translate geospatial requirements into VDI capacity plans.
• Perform impact assessments and regression validation for VDI upgrades to ensure continuity of geospatial workloads.
• Provide day shift operational support for incidents and change tasks with clear stakeholder communication.
• Analyze incident trends and propose improvements to reduce future disruptions.
• Mentor junior staff on PowerShell usage and VDI best practices.

• Provide day shift operational support for incidents, service requests and change tasks, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and managing expectations on restoration timelines.
• Analyze incident trends and recurring service issues across VMware Horizon and Citrix Cloud platforms, propose targeted improvements and track implementation outcomes to reduce future disruptions.
• Guide junior technical staff through knowledge sharing sessions focused on Powershell usage, VDI best practices and effective support of geo spatial applications to build a stronger delivery capability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate extensive experience in designing and administering VMware Horizon based VDI environments for complex enterprise use cases that include high resource map and visualization applications.
• Show advanced proficiency in Citrix Cloud configuration, including application delivery, profile management and policy tuning that supports diverse geospatial analysis workloads.
• Exhibit strong Powershell scripting skills used to automate VDI lifecycle activities, reporting and monitoring, thereby improving efficiency and reducing manual error.
• Apply solid understanding of Windows based virtual desktop operating systems, group policies and user profile solutions relevant to map centric application usage.
• Bring proven experience in incident management, problem analysis and change execution within structured service management frameworks for large distributed environments.
• Display familiarity with performance tuning techniques for virtual desktops, including resource sizing, image optimization and connection latency mitigation tailored to geo spatial tools.
• Utilize clear written and verbal communication capabilities to collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders, documenting solutions and operational procedures comprehensively.
• Maintain awareness of security and compliance practices related to handling of spatial datasets and user access within VDI platforms.
• Possess a background in supporting data intensive or graphics intensive applications that benefit from optimized virtual desktop delivery in an onsite day shift setting.
