Job summary

The Morris County Government Information Technology department seeks an experienced IT professional to be the primary technical expert for the VoIP system, focusing on CUCM, SIP, and related networking. You will administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot the communications environment while coordinating with carriers and security teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on IT experience with Cisco telecom administration.
• In-depth CUCM, Unity, and SIP architecture experience.
• Strong networking knowledge (VLANs, TCP/IP) and Extreme Networks hardware experience.
• Security proficiency with enterprise firewall management and Checkpoint products.
• Proficient packet-level troubleshooting using Wireshark.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Administer, upgrade, and troubleshoot CUCM environment daily.
• Manage SIP trunks, voice gateways, dial plans, and messaging integrations.
• Provision user extensions and configure IP phones.
• Troubleshoot voice, video, and UC issues.
• Coordinate with carriers and ISPs to resolve outages or manage circuit installations.
• Maintain network health and QoS for voice/video.
