Job summary

San José State University is seeking a Circulation Desk & Student Technology Resources Coordinator to oversee print and technology circulation at the SJSU Library. You will lead the Circulation/STR desk, hire and supervise student staff, monitor budgets, and partner with IT to maintain circulating technology.

You will train staff on access procedures, support public services such as printing, and advise library leadership on circulation policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent certification.
• Four years of related library and/or clerical experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning, organization, leadership, and priorities for Circulation, STR, and Course Reserves service desk.
• Develop, update, and facilitate policies, procedures, and workflows for Circulation and STR operations.
• Train library staff in Circulation and STR procedures and policies; create/update training materials.
