Job summary

Holy Cross College in Notre Dame seeks a Circulation Services Lead for the Afternoon/Evening to support students and faculty at McKenna Library. Reporting to the Director of Library Services, the role coordinates staff coverage and provides functional leadership for circulation operations.

Responsibilities include managing service-desk workflows across Folio, Tipasa, and related systems, maintaining schedules, training staff, and ensuring smooth library access during assigned hours.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in library services required.
• Experience in access services or circulation preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn library systems and work independently.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple duties.

Responsibilities

• Support service-desk operations across Folio, Tipasa, InfoExpress, and FiNDIt.
• Develop and maintain the service-desk schedule.
• Provide cross-training and maintain related documentation.
• Coordinate continuity across shifts with proper communications.
• Collaborate with libraries and partners to resolve issues.
• Serve as adult staff responsible during assigned hours when Director is absent.
• Maintain welcoming service-desk presence and assist navigating catalog and reserves.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.
