Job summary

The Germantown Community Library seeks a full-time Circulation Manager to lead the Circulation and Technical Services Teams. You will supervise a mix of staff and volunteers, manage the Circulation Desk, and help shape policies with library leadership.

Ideal candidate brings strong leadership, budgeting, and customer service skills, with ability to work evenings and Saturdays as needed and attend offsite trainings in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent college experience.
• Ability to work 1–2 evenings per week and 1–2 Saturdays per month.
• Willingness to attend offsite meetings/trainings within Washington County and adjacent counties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Circulation and Technical Services Team staff (permanent and temporary).
• Supervise library volunteers.
• Collaborate with the Library Director and leadership team on policies and library operations.
• Manage Circulation Desk operations and related programming.
• Provide monthly statistics and reports on circulation and technical services activity.
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules and budgets for Circulation Team.
• Ensure courteous, knowledgeable customer service to patrons of all ages.
