Job summary

Trimble County Public Library is seeking a Circulation Manager to oversee daily desk operations, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service. The role includes assisting with electronic resources, collections, and program support, with opportunities for professional development.

The Circulation Manager will work under the Library Director and may supervise staff in the director's absence. A strong background in library operations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or a related field.
• Must obtain and maintain KDLA certification within the required timeframe.
• Prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience with library technology, electronic resources, collection development, circulation, or public library operations.
• Strong knowledge of the local community.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily circulation desk operations, staffing, scheduling, and coverage.
• Train, supervise, evaluate, and assist with hiring circulation staff.
• Provide professional, welcoming customer service to patrons.
