Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Experience in customer service.
• Experience hiring, training, supervising, mentoring, or directing others.
• Ability to prioritize assignments, interpret policies, and solve problems independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of people.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Previous library experience preferred.
• Experience with Alma or other ILS is a plus.
• Experience with inventory management or stacks is a plus.
• Experience coordinating projects or workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of student employees by assigning and prioritizing work, providing training and mentorship.
• Deliver excellent service at the circulation desk, resolve patron questions, and interpret policies.
• Coordinate delivery services and maintain access to library collections.
• Plan and monitor stacks maintenance and collection organization.
• Support billing workflows and course reserves in Alma.
• Serve as person in charge of the library, ensuring safety and security.
