Cataract & Laser Institute in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse to support our surgical patients before, during and after procedures. You will record symptoms, administer medications and provide education and emotional support to patients and families.

This role offers a full benefits package including 6.5 paid holidays, PTO after 60 days, health, dental, vision, 401k, and a company-paid certification program for growth.

Competenze

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• ACLS certification must be obtained within one year of employment.
• Minimum of one year of surgical/operating room experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide direct patient care in pre-surgical, operative and recovery periods; collaborates with medical staff daily to promote coordination of patient care.
• Adhere to compliance standards; follow state nurse practice acts and governing regulations.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and infection control protocols.
• Protect patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protecting confidentiality of information.
