Vision Innovation Partners in Maryland is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team. The RN will perform comprehensive pre-op, intra-op circulating duties and post-anesthesia care in a high-quality surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in an operating room; ophthalmology preferred.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Valid BCLS, ACLS & PALS Certifications required upon employment (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Pre-operative patient assessments, verifies consents, H&P, orders, and time-out procedures.
• Functions as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, coordinating room activities.
• Prepares and administers medications safely and accurately per physician orders.
• Collaborates with anesthesia during induction and emergencies; responds to changes in patient condition.
• Provides PACU care including airway management, vital signs, pain control, and recovery.
• Ensures accurate documentation and effective hand-off reports during transitions.
