Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of the National Electrical Code and ordinances or be able to acquire it.
• Exposure to various electrical installations; understanding equipment and appliances.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in using a computer for inspections and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Inspects electrical installations in new and existing buildings during construction and completion.
• Examines buildings for hazardous electrical conditions and reports findings.
• Advises contractors and homeowners on electrical installations.
• Performs related duties as required.
