Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. is seeking a part-time Work Study student in the Cinematic Arts Department to assist with maintaining and organizing the equipment facility. You will help with checkout processes, barcode tracking, and inspections when equipment returns.

Responsibilities include inventorying, cleaning the facility, and supporting software/firmware updates as needed, using Microsoft Office and Google Forms for tracking tasks.

Qualifications

• Current LU student.
• Reliability in completing tasks, fulfilling responsibilities, and fulfilling expected hours of work.
• A friendly demeanor, a helpful spirit, and a willingness to learn.
• The ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Cursory knowledge base of camera, audio, and/or lighting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory and upkeep of equipment stored in the Cinematic Arts Equipment Warehouse.
• Check out equipment on a regular basis for Cinematic Arts student projects.
• Perform inspections/evaluations upon equipment returns.
• Maintain a clean working environment – cleaning floors, work stations/desks, sweeping, mopping, and organizing.
• Assist with software and firmware updates for applicable equipment.
• Perform inventory tasks using Microsoft Office/Google Forms to track equipment repair and maintenance.
• Assist Equipment Manager and Equipment Inventory Specialist with various tasks where needed.
