Job summary

Bucknell University seeks a Chief Human Resources Officer to lead the Office of Human Resources through a renewal period. This hands-on role focuses on stabilizing the team, sharpening services, and implementing a redesigned operating model in partnership with the President and senior leaders.

The CHRO will inherit a clear roadmap, oversee 17 HR professionals, and report to the President. A robust compensation/benefits framework and data-driven decision making are central to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ten years of HR leadership experience with a strong operational/service delivery track record.
• Six+ years of supervisory experience leading HR teams.
• Experience managing HR operations, HRIS/data, and policy implementation.
• Experience with Title IX and EEO compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations end to end: service delivery, HRIS/data, process design.
• Manage compensation, benefits, and budget processes in collaboration with Finance.
• Administer benefit programs including retirement and self-insured health plan.
• Run annual performance management and talent development processes.
• Oversee employee relations and confidential investigations.
