Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a driver to transport bell ringers and gifts, load and unload donations, and support holiday outreach efforts across assigned locations. The role requires safe operation of non-DOT vans and adherence to schedules.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, at least two years of driving experience, and a valid Texas driver’s license. This position involves outdoor work in various weather conditions and outdoor settings.

• Minimum of two years driving experience required.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Drives vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and picks up bell ringers at designated work site back to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps; organizes schedule pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or other assigned locations.
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.
