Job summary

The Salvation Army in Texas seeks a driver to support its Christmas Angel Tree and kettle transportation programs. The role involves operating non-DOT vans to move bell ringers, collect gifts, and deliver to designated sites while maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of driving experience, plus a valid Texas driver's license. This is a full-time, outdoor position with variable weather exposure.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drives vans to transport bell ringers to kettle work sites and back to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to/from locations to pick up gifts and deliver to the Christmas warehouse.
• Organizes pickup routes to meet schedules and destinations.
• Drives to homes, agencies, churches to collect gifts and stockings for delivery.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle inside and out.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for:Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.Key ResponsibilitiesThis job description should not be considered as all-inclusive.
