Job summary

The Salvation Army in Conroe, TX 77301 is seeking a driver for the seasonal Christmas Angel Tree and Kettle programs. Responsibilities include transporting donors, bell ringers, and gifts with non-DOT vehicles, and coordinating pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time operations.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and at least two years of driving experience, plus a valid Texas Driver’s License. Works outdoors in varying weather; seasonal, full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to locations for Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensure safety and accountability of vehicle and donations.
• Drives vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and back to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from sites to pick up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps; plans routes to meet schedules.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches and other locations to pick up gifts for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to drive-thru/drop-off events at malls or other locations.
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.

Key Responsibilities

• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to assigned locations for Corps/Area Command Christmas Angel Tree program donations and gifts and/or Christmas Kettle program transportation of bell ringers to designated worksites; ensures the safety, security and accountability of the vehicle and donations at all times.
• Drives vans to transport bells ringers to kettle work sites and picks up bell ringers at designated work site back to Corps or Area Command locations.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from assigned locations to pick up gifts and take to the Christmas warehouse and/or Corps; organizes schedule pick-ups by most direct route to arrive at destinations according to schedule.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to homes, agencies, churches and any other designated location to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. for delivery to the Corps.
• Drives vans or trucks (Non-DOT) to and from Drive-thru and/or drop-off events at Malls or other assigned locations.
• Maintains cleanliness of truck and/or van inside and outside.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Education and Experience:
