Job summary

Delmarva Christian School is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage tuition collections, create family accounts, and ensure accurate invoicing. This role supports financial stewardship and maintains integrity in all receivables with a compassionate, faith-driven approach.

The position emphasizes teamwork with enrollment and finance staff, accurate reporting, and timely deposits. Candidates should have QuickBooks experience and a commitment to the school’s Christian mission.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the school’s accounts receivable, ensuring timely receipt of tuition and fees
• Set up new family accounts and ensure accurate billing and invoicing
• Reconcile Tuition Management System with QuickBooks and enrollment data timely
• Review weekly accounts receivable reports and follow up as necessary
• Prepare and record bi-weekly deposits in a timely manner
• Ensure proper recording of all scholarship funds in family accounts
• Accurately bill for school and activity fees
• Minimize number of family accounts with balances over 30 days
• Coordinate with campus enrollment coordinators to build relationships with families
• Provide proactive updates and support for families regarding accounts
• Assist families with questions, payment arrangements, and account details
• Work with families to establish payment plans and ensure timely follow-through
• Communicate via email, phone, and in-person meetings to solve problems
• Provide weekly/monthly reports on account statuses to the Director of Finance
• Develop and implement a checklist for collection intervention steps
• Report ongoing collection issues to the Director of Finance
• Assist with the annual audit process
• Aid in scholarship application/processing
• Participate in orientation, open houses, and other school events
• Promote the school in the community
• Support extracurricular activities through attendance at events
• Participate in development and recruitment activities
• Collaborate with other Christian centers to refine best practices
• Continuously evaluate processes to improve inefficiencies
