Hotel Chocolat in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and embody the brand across Retail, Food & Beverage. You will welcome customers, demonstrate product knowledge, and run tastings while ensuring attractive displays and stock integrity.

Responsibilities include maintaining health and safety standards, supporting store operations, and presenting a consistent customer journey.

Qualifications

• Customer service – previous experience of working in customer service is not essential, but a positive attitude is important.
• Teamwork – experience of working as part of a team to achieve goals and being flexible to support colleagues.
• Merchandising skills – identify product types and ensure displays are well presented and stocked according to guidelines.
• Communication – listen, ask questions, adapt style to different customers and communicate clearly with colleagues and managers.
• Product knowledge – learn about products, how they’re grown and produced, allergens, cocoa background and innovations.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience – provide excellent customer experiences through our experience program, welcoming customers and supporting their needs to deliver an excellent journey in-store.
• Brand – act as a Brand Ambassador and share cocoa knowledge to maintain consistent customer experience.
• Product knowledge – learn the product range and run tasting sessions and demonstrations.
• Stock – receive deliveries, maintain stock and keep stockrooms compliant with health and safety guidelines; keep floor stock tidy and well presented.
• Operations – ensure health & safety compliance, hygiene standards, and store security; assist with opening/closing when managers are absent.
