Läderach in Potomac, IL is seeking a Deputy Manager to assist the Store Manager with staff supervision, training, and delivering outstanding in-store customer service in a premium chocolate retail environment. The ideal candidate is a chocolate-lover with proven leadership and a track record in retail shop and staff management.

You will lead scheduling, oversee product merchandising, help maintain food safety standards, and support sales, register duties, and stock/receiving.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in retail with increasing responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, staff management and customer service skills.
• Reliable with a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends and holidays.
• Proficient computer skills: email, MS 365, data entry, spreadsheets and POS.
• Quality-minded with keen attention to detail.
• Proactive and efficient.
• Passionate about chocolate.

Responsibilities

• Lead outstanding in-store customer experience and motivate staff to deliver top-notch care.
• Oversee product sales, register duties, shop and shelf care, gift packaging and order fulfillment.
• Ensure accurate product merchandising and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Schedule staff shifts and coordinate store meetings/events.
• Support Store Manager with inventory, merchandising and loss prevention tasks.
• Communicate corporate values to customers and employees; act as store lead in manager's absence.
