Job summary

Ghirardelli Chocolate Company is seeking a Store Supervisor in San Francisco. You will oversee store operations, ensure safety and great service, and partner with the general manager and corporate teams to optimize profitability.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and retail management experience, with a focus on coaching Chocolateers and maintaining brand standards. This position may require travel and flexibility to cover shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One or more years in a fast-paced restaurant or retail environment with supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations and uphold safety standards for employees and customers.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization following company standards.
• Collaborate with general manager, store and division teams, HR, IT, finance, and payroll.
• Prioritize daily activities and manage sales floor operations and resource optimization.
• Act as primary contact with corporate and vendors when managers are absent; cover absences.
• Model exemplary customer service and lead by example.
• Monitor sales and labor costs to maximize profitability without compromising service.
• Respond promptly to escalated customer issues and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Ensure proper use of the KDS system and uphold product and brand standards.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, interviews, training, and employee development.
• Coach and develop Chocolateers and address employee relations matters.
• Serve as a resource and role model for staff.
