Job summary

NSA's Linguists, known as Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs), are invited to join the Language Analysis Development Program or direct hire into analytic mission offices. The LADP spans up to three years with multiple operational tours, training, and rotations across offices to develop core analytic competencies in SIGINT reporting and development.

Applicants should have ILR 2/2 proficiency in reading and listening in Chinese and meet education/experience requirements.

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• A degree in any field is acceptable.
• Entry/Developmental path requires high school diploma/GED + 4 years of experience or equivalent.
• Full Performance path requires higher education or more experience.

Responsibilities

• Offer U.S. policymakers and military leaders a window into the foreign language world by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
• Research and understand cultures and geopolitics relevant to NSA SIGINT mission.
• Apply techniques to synthesize large data volumes from disparate sources.
• Craft written and oral assessments providing unique insights not available from other disciplines.
• Work independently and collaboratively within NSA and with the Intelligence Community.
