Job summary

NSA is seeking experienced Language Analysts (MDLAs) to support the SIGINT mission. A minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language is required; Chinese language is specifically highlighted.

The role may be filled via the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices. It involves analysis, transcription, translation, and written/oral reporting, with security clearance steps.

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 reading and listening for the target language (Chinese)
• Minimum education: high school diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience or higher degrees
• Experience in language analysis, translation, transcription, or related fields is acceptable

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials for SIGINT purposes
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts to inform assessments
• Apply analytic techniques to large data sets and disparate sources
• Mentor, coach, and lead other Language Analysts as SME
• Prepare written and oral reports and briefings
